Each week I will bring you the Dawg/Pussycat of the week from the Big 10. This could be a player, coach, or school who had an outstanding performance, a great recruiting week, or just an amazing week in general.

Opposite of that will be the Pussycat of the Week, this will be the player, coach, or school who failed to get the job done from the prior week. The only rule is it can be any event that has happened inside the B1G from the previous week.

It's time to name the first Dawg/Pussycat award winners from the week of July 31, 2023, to August 6, 2023.

The Dawg Award- Big 10

This week's dawg award winner is the Big 10 conference itself for its ability to get the deal done and bring in two big-time programs, Oregon, and Washington. For fans, this should almost guarantee great matchups most Saturdays. It also gives Big 10 football fans from 12:00 pm Est to after 1:00 am Est each Saturday to watch college football.

This week's award goes to Jim Harbaugh and his staff at the University of Michigan!

The reason for the award is losing out on one of their top WR recruiting targets Four Star, Gatlin Bair. He was believed to be a Michigan lean but ultimately pick the Broncos of Boise State. It’s one thing to lose a recruit to a power five team, but to lose him to a group of five is just not acceptable. It's been a rough off-season for Coach Harbaugh, losing recruits, and NCAA violations...hope the season is much better for this pussycat.
