Stanford Gets Commitment From Elite Indiana Wide Receiver

Stanford Cardinal | WR JonAnthony Hall Commitment

Four-star wide receiver JonAnthony Hall from Fishers, Ind. has committed to play for the Stanford Cardinal. Hall chose Stanford over Michigan, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Purdue and others. According to 247Sports, Hall is the No. 8 receiver in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

As the No. 52 overall recruit in the country, Hall is the most coveted recruit to join the Cardinal in the two-year tenure of coach Troy Taylor.

Hall announced his commitment on June 28.

About Hall

Hall is an exceptional athlete who participates in three sports at the prep level. In his junior season on the gridiron, he hauled in 69 pass receptions for 1,055 yards and 6 touchdowns. He also dazzled as a kickoff returner. He is an excellent all-around basketball player, and he nearly won the Indiana state championship in the long jump.

Hall has blazing speed, and Stanford anticipates that he will contribute to the Cardinal offense during his freshman year in Palo Alto in 2025. Stanford will then be in its second season in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Hall is 6-foot-1 and weighs 170 pounds.

Stanford Recruiting

In an interview with 247Sports, Hall stressed academics as a key factor in his decision to commit to Stanford. He said that while he ultimately aspires to play on Sundays in the NFL, getting a first-class education is crucial to him. Furthermore, he said he was drawn to the beauty of the Stanford campus and its abundant resources.

Hall said that standout Cardinal receivers Elic Ayomanor and Emmett Mosley made a profound impression on him during his recruitment. Noting their integrity and character, Hall stated that Ayomanor and Mosley share with him an emphasis on academics. He also stressed the 90 percent graduation rate of the student-athletes on the Stanford football team, commenting that he knows he will be in "good hands" in the classroom.

With the addition of Hall, Stanford's 2025 recruiting class now ranks No. 22 in the country according to 247 Sports. The Cardinal's recruiting efforts are taking off, as they are the leading contender to land five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola.
