BROADCAST INFORMATION

• Kickoff at 7:30 EST, Friday, September 1st on ESPN

• Anish Schroff and Andre Ware will be on the call

• LOUISVILLE Radio Network FM 93.9 or AM 970

WHAT'S AT STAKE?

As both teams are members of the ACC, this game will boost them to 1-0 to start conference play. Georgia Tech desperately needs a bounce-back season, while Louisville would love to begin their campaign coming home as victors to focus on their next opponent.

KEY PLAYERS

QB Haynes King- Georgia Tech

DB LaMiles Brooks- Georgia Tech

QB Jack Plummer- Louisville

RB Jawhar Jordan, Jr.-Louisville

KEY MATCHUPS

Both teams will be starting new QBs under center this season. Haynes King is a transfer from Texas A&M and Jack Plummer transferred from Cal. Plummer has the advantage as he formally played under Coach Jeff Brohm out at Purdue two years prior. Both teams are evenly matched with strong defenses, but chemistry will be their biggest issue with new leadership. Both teams have a new coaching staff on the sidelines and new field generals on the turf.

PREDICTION

The odds are in favor of the Cardinals by a touchdown and a PAT, But I can see the game going down to the wire as a closer contest. The Yellow Jackets have home-field advantage with Atlanta as their backyard. They should have a large crowd to rally behind the team. Georgia Tech is due for a big win and will show that they're back with a statement win Friday night. Yellow Jackets 24- Cardinals 21
