Peach State Battle: Georgia Hosts Georgia Tech

Head coach Kirby Smart and the No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs (9-2, 6-2 Southeastern Conference) look to end their season on a high note and keep moving up the College Football Playoff rankings as they host in-state rival Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (7-4, 5-3 Atlantic Coast Conference). In Week 13, the Bulldogs defeated the UMass Minutemen (2-9) 59-21, while the Yellow Jackets defeated the North Carolina State Wolfpack (5-6, 2-5) 30-29. The Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets will face off at 7:30 p.m. EST on Nov. 29 at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga.



What's at Stake?

The Bulldogs look to make it 31 consecutive home victories with a win against the Yellow Jackets.


The Yellow Jackets look to become only the second team in their history with three wins over top 10 opponents in a singular season, with a victory over the Bulldogs.

RB Nate Frazier, LB Chris Cole

Frazier is a workhorse in the backfield for the Bulldogs and it was more of the same in the victory over the Minutemen. Frazier had 21 carries for 136 yards and 3 touchdowns on the day. Frazier set a career high in rushing yards in the victory.


The game was already over but Cole put a stamp on the win late in the fourth quarter. Cole picked up a fumble and ran it back 28 yards for a touchdown which gave the Bulldogs a 59-21 advantage. Cole made a great play, found the ball, and the rest was history.



Key Players: Georgia Tech

WR Eric Singleton, LB Kyle Efford

Singleton was a favorite target in the win over the Wolfpack and he had quite a good stat line to show for it. Singleton finished the game with 5 catches for 106 yards.



Efford was a workhorse in this game, and it showed on the scoreboard. He finished with 3 tackles and one of those tackles was for a sack.



Trends to Watch

The Bulldogs are looking for their fifth straight undefeated season at home with a victory over the Yellow Jackets. The Yellow Jackets are looking to make it three wins out of their last five trips to Athens with a win over the Bulldogs.
