Another quarterback is on the move. This time, Grayson McCall will depart the Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina for the Wolfpack of North Carolina State. A three-time winner of the Sun Belt Player of the Year award, surpassed the 10000 passing yard mark last season. While not fitting into a pocket passer or mobile-style quarterback he does have the ability to ad-lib and extend plays. He is an accurate thrower with a career 70% completion percentage.

Although he doesn't have the greatest arm strength, it is good and he can make throws to a large area of the field. He does keep defenses honest with his mobility and other intangibles like his football IQ. During his time with Coastal Carolina, McCall led the team to bowl games in four straight seasons. This season he did have limited production due to an injury in season.

He'll head to a Power Five conference as McCall takes his talents to the Wolfpack. Who similarly to so many teams will be bringing in a quarterback for a second season in a row? He will have an experienced offensive line that will be tasked with protection as McCall will look to improve an offense that averaged under 350 yards a game. Freshman Kevin Concepcion and Julian Gray will have another veteran to learn from and make plays.

McCall will give the Wolfpack a veteran quarterback after the team lost this season's starter Brennan Armstrong to graduation and sophomore MJ Morris to the transfer portal. Bringing in McCall also gives the Wolfpack a mobile quarterback who ran for 1113 yards and added 18 touchdowns during his time with the Chanticleers. He will look to bring his confidence and leadership to Raleigh, NC, and the Wolfpack.
