Furman Paladins 2023 Season​ Preview

Furman starts the preseason at number five. They have one of the best QB rooms in the FCS. Hedrick, Huff, and Jones are all solid QB’s with high football IQ. Furman however, will most likely be pounding the ball with most likely be pounding the ball with their running game. Their defense was ranked in the top 10 in the FCS last year and will more than likely be better this year.

Clay Hendrix is entering his seventh year as the head coach of the Paladin. His current record is 41-26. He is a Furman Alum and an offensive minded coach. Born in Commerce, GA in 1963. He has coaching experience at Air Force, NC State, and Furman.
