Dawg Preview: Virginia Tech looks to bounce back

Virginia Tech is looking for a much-needed win at home this weekend. The Hokies have shown a lot of improvement over the past 2 games. However the Florida State, game was a measuring stick to see where the program is headed. That game showed Virginia Tech has the potential to become a good football team again, they just need some more work.

Broadcast Information:

T.V: The ACC Network 3:30 PM EST

Calling: Chris Colter and Mark Herzlich

Radio: 105.3 The Bear a Virginia Tech flagship station, WFIR 103.7 in Roanoke, VA

Wake Forest: 98:5 WTPF The Wake Forest radio network.

What's at stake?

Well, Virginia Tech has gained a lot of confidence over the last 2 weeks. Coming off of a nice win over Pitt, they are able to hold their own for 3 quarters against Florida State. I believe that the Hokies showed a lot of grit and toughness against FSU. That is the Hokie team that fans want to see. Wake Forest on the other hand limps into the game at a 3-2 record and 0-2 in the ACC, they will bring all Virginia Tech can handle to pick up their first ACC win.

Key Players: Virginia Tech

QB Kyron Drone - keep up the great play

RB Byshaul Tuten - keep up the hard running

Offensive Line - keep opening holes for Tuten and Drone

Key Players: Wake Forest

QB Mitch Griffis - is a dual-threat QB

RB Demond Caliburn

Prediction:

To be completely honest this is a coin flip game for both teams. The Hokies and Wake Forest both need to win, but the Hokies have a slight advantage since it's at Lane Stadium. The crowd will be loud and rowdy. The way the Hokies have played over the last 2 weeks gives Hokie Nation some hope. I believe this game will come down to who wins the line of scrimmage and the turnover battle. The Hokies win a nail-biter.

Virginia Tech 24

Wake Forest. 20
