What's at Stake?

The Cougars are celebrating Homecoming and will be looking to appease the home crowd by getting their aerial attack back on track. Turnovers which plagued the Cougars last weekend will be key as Arizona is looking to improve to a winning record.

Key Players: #20 WSU Cougars

Offensive – QB Cam Ward needs to minimize the Interceptions as he threw 2 last week. Defensive – LB Kyle Thorton continues to lead the team in tackles (36)

Key Players: Arizona Wildcats

Offensive – QB Jayden de Laura will again be a game-day decision due to a lower leg injury. Defensive – LB Jacob Manu leads the team in tackles (50) and sacks (3.5)

Prediction:

320 WSU was punched in the mouth by the #19 UCLA front seven last week. Arizona is going to be a game-time decision at QB for de Laura, but freshman Noah Fifita has filled in admirably. Arizona was up early last week at the half against #5 USC and couldn’t hold on, eventually losing their second game this year in overtime. Cougars need to tighten up on the all-important Air Raid pass protection to give Ward the time he needs to pick a ‘suspect’ Arizona secondary apart. With the #20 Cougars back on track, look for a 45 to 30 finish for a Wazzu ‘W’.
