Dawg Preview: Arkansas at #12 Alabama

University of Alabama vs. University of Arkansas

The Arkansas Razorbacks travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the 12th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide for an all-SEC homecoming matchup. Alabama has not lost a homecoming game since 2001 when they fell to the Nick Saban-led LSU Tigers. Will Arkansas end Alabama's homecoming win streak, or will they fall to the Crimson Tide for the sixteenth time in a row?

Broadcast Information:

Kickoff Saturday, October 14th at 12 pm EST on ESPN

On the call: Dave Pasch, Dusty Dvoracek, Tom Luginbill on the call

Listen at Crimson Tide Sports Network and/or Razorbacks Sports Network

What's at Stake?

Arkansas would love nothing more than to march into Tuscaloosa and end their current 4-game losing streak along with their 15-game losing streak to the Tide. On the other side, Alabama will look to add to their 4-game winning streak and continue their journey to secure the SEC West one conference foe at a time.

Key Players Alabama:

QB - Jalen Milroe

RB - Jase McClellan

Key Players Arkansas

QB - KJ Jefferson

DB - Dwight McGlothern

Key Matchups

Alabama struggled to run the ball in their last outing while Arkansas gave up close to 200 yards rushing last week in Oxford. It will be interesting to see who wins the battle between Alabama's running game and Arkansas's rush defense. Arkansas has struggled on offense the last few weeks while Alabama's defense has seemed to improve on a weekly basis. This could spell trouble for Arkansas unless they find a spark on the offensive side of the ball.

Prediction Arkansas at Alabama:

Arkansas will keep it close for a quarter or two, but the talent and coaching differential will be too much for them to overcome. Alabama wins this game comfortably and improves their win streak over Arkansas to sixteen in a row.

Final Score: Alabama 34 Arkansas 13
