Who is Danny "Phantom" Okoye?

Danny Okoye is a (composite) four-star edge rusher from NOAH Homeschool, or {Northeast Oklahoma Association Of Homeschools} in Tulsa Oklahoma. The six-foot-four-inch, 241-pound edge rusher committed Oklahoma over major programs including Rival Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, and Arkansas.

What Impact Does His Commitment Bring The Sooners?

The addition of the Phantom brings Oklahoma's 2024 recruiting class to number seventh in the nation and fifth in the SEC. Okoye is the second commit for his position while the other was four-star Wyatt Gilmore.

How Quickly Can Danny Okoye Contribute?

With a total of five draftable edge rushers ahead of him, this means he can not only possibly see action early, but this means he can compete for second-string reps from day one.

Scouting Daniel Okoye

Game in and game out Daniel Okoye is the biggest body on the field. With his six-foot-four frame, he is able to bully the opposing offensive tackle and force pressure constantly. With the size differential this forced the opposing teams to double-team him more times than not, but how did he overcome it? He simply put them on their butts with his strength and pure "want to".

Some downsides however are when lined up across from a tackle his size or bigger he struggles getting in the backfield. He also relies on his bullrush way too often and has not shown another dominant move off of the line of scrimmage.
