WHO IS CADEN DURHAM

Caden Durham is a four-star RB from Duncanville High School in Duncanville, TX. The 5-foot-9-inch, 195-pound speedster chose LSU over Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Durham is a two-sport athlete who also runs track. He ran the 100-meter dash in 10.53 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 21.54 seconds. A key component in his recruitment is that Durham will run track at LSU.

WHAT IS THE IMPACT OF THE COMMITMENT FOR LSU

Durham is a consensus four-star RB who gives the Tigers 16 four-star commitments for the 2024 recruiting class according to On3. The speedy back’s commitment has LSU ranked sixth overall and fourth in the SEC in the On3 Team Recruiting rankings.

HOW QUICKLY CAN CADEN DURHAM CONTRIBUTE AT LSU?

With his compact build and blazing speed, the addition of Durham gives the LSU offense a tough, fast back who can make an immediate impact in Baton Rouge. The chance of Durham seeing the field early at LSU is good because he is the only running back LSU is recruiting for the 2024 recruiting cycle and more than half of the Tigers running backs on the 2023 roster are juniors or seniors.

SCOUTING CADEN DURHAM

Durham finished his junior season with 1,960 rushing yards and 36 touchdowns. He is a short but stocky back with incredible breakaway speed. He is a shifty, slashing type of back who is good with the jump cut, but also patient enough to wait for the blocks to develop. Durham has great acceleration and when he gets to the secondary his speed renders tackling angles useless.
