WHO IS MICAH HUDSON

Micah Hudson is a consensus five-star WR from Lake Belton High School in Temple, TX. The 6-foot, 195-pound WR committed to Texas Tech over Texas and Texas A&M. Rivals.com lists Hudson as the number 2 WR in the country and the number 2 recruit from the state of Texas. Hudson also runs track and is on the basketball team at Lake Belton.

WHAT IS THE IMPACT OF THE COMMITMENT FOR TEXAS TECH

The commitment of Hudson gives Texas Tech its first five-star recruit not only in the 2024 class but also in program history. With the high school football talent that annually comes from the state of Texas the fact that this is Texas Tech's first five-star commit is astounding! On3 ranks Texas Tech’s recruiting class number 21 overall and number 1 in the Big 12.

HOW QUICKLY CAN MICAH HUDSON CONTRIBUTE AT TEXAS TECH?

Of Texas Tech’s six receivers on the two-deep, only two are seniors. Hudson is one of two receivers who have committed to the Red Raiders for the 2024 class. Seeing the field in 2024 will not be easy, but it also will not be impossible. A player with Hudson’s versatility and speed should be able to see some playing time as a freshman.

SCOUTING MICAH HUDSON

Micah Hudson is a speedy wideout who has a stocky build and shifty moves. He is a good route runner who can create separation from defensive backs with his shiftiness. Hudson has good length and shows an ability to come down with contested catches. His moves in the open field often leave defenders missing tackles. Is a versatile player who can line up at any receiver position and even as a running back. Hudson finished 2022 with 65 catches for 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns.
